Collection: In The Shadows of Ourselves

In this collection, I present a moody and evocative exploration of the human condition. Each piece draws viewers into the quiet tension between strength and fragility, presence and absence, light and shadow.

Through a series of striking figures including a commanding elephant, a vigilant hawk, and a spectral horse, I examine states of endurance, restraint, and emotional distance. The elephant embodies strength through quiet power, a presence that feels grounded, enduring, and unyielding. It stands as a symbol of resilience carried without spectacle, weight held with dignity. The hawk serves as a symbol of vigilance and perspective. The work asks the viewer to consider how awareness shifts depending on what is revealed and what remains hidden. The horse explores emotional paralysis, the state of watching life unfold without the ability to participate. It appears as a living ghost, emerging from shadow yet withholding itself from full presence, asking the viewer to sit with the stillness.

With my dark, atmospheric palette, I invite viewers to linger in the complexity of longing, resilience, and vulnerability. In the Shadows of Ourselves is not only a reflection of human emotion, but also a meditation on what it means to witness, to endure, and to remain present within uncertainty.

For me, these paintings are more than images. They are proof of choice, of identity, and of hope. Each one is an act of will. I exist, I feel, and I am here.
